MWH Announces New Vice President of Communications to Executive Management Team

Broomfield, Colo. May 18, 2009 – MWH, a global provider of environmental engineering, construction and strategic consulting services, announced that Meg VanderLaan has joined the MWH Executive Management Team.

Meg VanderLaan assumes responsibilities of Vice President of Corporate Communications for MWH. She brings 20 years of experience in marketing, communications and public affairs in well-known and respected companies.

In addition to her global experience, Meg’s work in the area of building and maintaining corporate image and developing community relations programs will be a great foundation for her upcoming work here at MWH,” said Bob Uhler, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

VanderLaan joins MWH from Gates Corporation, where she served as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, responsible for communications, brand strategy development and direction of the company’s government affairs program. VanderLaan served for three years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Gates Winhere Automotive Pump Products Joint Venture in China.

Currently, VanderLaan serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Downtown Denver Partnership’s Denver Civic Ventures, Inc., the Downtown Denver Partnership’s Downtown Denver Events, Inc. and the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

VanderLaan received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts with a Proficiency Certificate in German from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.
